Stephen Denlis

Stephen Denlis - President

President and Precision Machining Equipment afficionado.

Stephen graduated with a Degree in Computer Science in 1984. After working as an assistant systems analysis, he realized he did not want to spend his life debugging programs, and that he liked to work with his hands. The next 10 years were spent working in oil refineries all over California, as a pipefitter/welder, and the next 7 years managing an environmental equipment manufacturing facility.

It was while he was working in the prototype shop of the environmental company that Stephen found his calling. In a garage with an engine lathe and a knee mill, Stephen found cutting and fabricating with metal fascinating and Mean Machine Inc was started in 1999.

Owning a machine shop uses every single one of Stephen's skills, which has allowed MMI to advance; and, like every successful person, Stephen is continuing to learn and develop even after 12 years.

During the 12 years, Stephen has guided the company to focus on customer needs and be one that cares about:

  • On time delivery of parts to drawing
  • Continued investment in new equipment
  • Integrated supply chain (sub processes etc)
  • Environmental concern
  • Customer relationship and transparency
  • Value
